A patient is sitting in front of the doctor and is told, ” Well Mr. Smith, I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want first?”
The patient says, ” Give me the good news first.”
The doctor says, ” Well, the good news is that you have only 24 hours to live.”
The patient, ” My goodness. Wow, 24 hours to live. After a long and dejected pause he then asks, ” What in the world could be the bad news?”
The doctor says, ” Well the bad news Mr. Smith is that I meant to tell you yesterday.”
